The Center for Spectrum Services (formerly The Children’s Annex), in Kingston, NY, is a private, not-for-profit program designed especially for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders including Asperger Syndrome. Since its inception in 1976, the Center has served a cumulative enrollment of more than 3,500 students as a model special education program. Nationally recognized for its leadership in the field, Spectrum Services has trained more than 4,000 professionals and families across the state and the nation.
The organization also operates the Spectrum Services Clinic, providing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorders to children, adolescents and adults in the community, and offers Social Skills Groups, individual counseling, and professional and family trainings and workshops. With two centers located in Kingston and Ellenville, the Center for Spectrum Services’ outreach extends to children and families from 55 school districts in 14 counties throughout the Hudson Valley.
